Mission:

To provide an introduction for mental health professionals interested in increasing their skills in providing digital literacy assessments and interventions to clients to help increase digital resilience.

Digital Literacy

Digital literacy is the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create and communicate information.

Digital Resilience

Digital resilience is defined as withstanding and overcoming negative experiences and pressures online.

Why does digital literacy matter in trauma treatment?

Collectively we are engaging online daily, and as practitioners, we hear about our clients engaging online daily. As the access to the internet has increased, the scope of practitioners' person-in-environment perspective has broadened to digital spaces.

Why is digital resilience important?

Youth are engaging online often without any guidance.  As practitioners, it is important to help youth build skills to increase their ability to not only engage in a healthy way online but benefit from digital experiences!
